TEFCEL Model for the oil and gas contract management shall provide proper, reliable, comprehensive, integrated and risk-oriented analysis to the following main and important questions:

  1. to identify the main TEFCEL risks prevailing in the Petroleum Agreements/Contracts and propose a professional approach on how to assess and manage such risks;
  2. to propose drafting of the petroleum Agreements/Contracts while finding basic elements of being considered as a professional or expert drafter;
  3. Since Local Content Development Plan in petroleum projects plays a vital role in managing the Parties contractual relationship, therefore its pros and cons shall be considered well and debated argumentatively;
  4.  to contribute and debate in depth the best strategies and tactics to manage oil and gas claims and/or Counter-Claims;
  5.  to define claims & counter- claims in the oil and gas industry while seeking to find out the different approaches between claim & counter-claim) in judicial case & oil industry
  6.  to find out the delicate lines of commonalities & differences between nine (9) elements of TEFCEL Model in the Upstream, Midstream and Downstream Agreements/Contracts.
  7.  to manage professionally, integratedly and comprehensively a petroleum contract via TEFCEL approach in the project level and company scale;
  8. to consider that the oil and gas Contract Management is not a single event as many might have a misconception about it, but it is a chain of events under a lengthy process, commencing from the Brain Storming stage and ending with the Contract Close Out;
  9. to identify and discuss the commonalities and differences between Contract Management and Project Management on the Principles, Concepts, Procedures, Tools, Measures, KPI, Criteria and outcomes;

  12. to enter into a debatable and argumentative discussion that why litigation and even semi-litigation should not be a preferable approach nowadays to settle petroleum disputes, but one should instead concentrate and utilized the ADR approach to settle such disputes; and
  13. to discuss and elaborate those important strategies, techniques and principles that should be observed when negotiating Upstream and Downstream Oil & Gas Agreements/contracts.
